Wild Talents: Augur – Making the most of Senses. [Day 1 of 6]

Meet Augur, the Clairvoyant. Now, thanks to the way Wild Talents works, there are any number of ways to do Clairvoyance, but I wanted to take it to the extreme here. Rather than create a Talent, I’ve decided to “throw” my Sense stat. That’s easy enough by simply giving it a “Range” capacity. However, I also want to move my sensory around a bit, so decided to add a “Speed” capacity as well. Truth be told, I could get away with just “Speed”, but that would make it impossible to reach certain places, in much the way that you couldn’t fly through a solid object. Using both, I can move through objects with my senses, and ‘go’ pretty much anywhere.

Notice the Variable Effects, this allows me to expand my senses to any imaginable sense. Radar, ultrasound, infravision, xray vision, microscopic vision, even the ability to ‘touch’, ‘smell’ or ‘taste’ things from ‘range’. And at 10d, that’s a pretty decent range… (5km). Booster lets me extend that even further… along with moving my senses as far as 20,000 km/hour. Circumference of the earth is only 40,000 km, so could travel anywhere in the world in 1 hour (furthest point is only half the circumference).

Best part… Added a teleportation effect that attaches to his Perception. This allows him, rather than returning his senses back to his body, move his body to wherever his senses are (within range of course, so not across the world, but at least 1/3rd of the way around it…).
