Where did black stars rise before they hung over Carcosa? What inspired the King in Yellow, whom emperors have served? Whither syphilis?

Robert W. Chambers’ The King in Yellow has inspired horror authors from Lovecraft to the present darkening day. Arc Dream Publishing’s new The King in Yellow: Annotated Edition features exhaustive research by Kenneth Hite and beautiful illustrations by Samuel Araya.

INTERESTING RECORDING FACTS

  1. The random music heard in the background is due to a salsa band playing in the public square in front of the hotel and 13 floors down.
  2. We ran late getting to the panel. The room was packed and it made camera placement without blocking audience members very difficult.
  3. This panel was conducted in a room which was to host a party immediately following the panel. We ran long. Sorry!
